Seven and Six

... is a pretty convincing margin of victory. On an 18–hole course, it means that one player is seven holes up after twelve have been played. There are three possible scenarios:

One player has won nine holes and the other two, with one tied
One player has won eight holes and the other one, with three tied
One player has won seven holes and the other none, with five tied
